Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Shoreline
A helicopter flying near a well-attended California shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage uploaded on the internet capture the aircraft starting to spin above Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palms and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters said five persons were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the road were harmed. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
Planned Function
Officials mentioned the helicopter was connected to an annual “Cars N Copters” benefit occasion scheduled for the following day.
